What I wanted to achieve

I approached my own website the same way I support my clients - with clarity first. I wanted a space that felt vibrant, warm, and intentionally designed for women creatives; a digital home that reflected my values, my brand pillars, and the kind of work I love creating. The goal was to build something bold and strategic, not just pretty: a site that felt aligned, purposeful, and ready to grow with my business.

Who it was built for

My audience is ambitious, heart-led women entrepreneurs who want a website that reflects who they are now. I kept this at the centre of every decision, making sure the design communicated confidence, creativity, and ease from the first click.

The foundations

Before touching design, I mapped out:

• my brand voice and tone

• refreshed colours, typography, and signature phrases

• the customer journey and how visitors naturally move through the site

• what actions I wanted people to take on each page

This phase ensured every visual choice had intention behind it - a reflection of my “clarity before design” approach.

Creating the visual direction

I built a mood board, refined my colour palette, and selected typefaces that felt vibrant and grounded — exactly the balance I bring to my client projects. The aim was to blend warmth with polish, offering a look that feels both creative and strategic.

Homepage first

Just like in my design-week process , I started with the homepage to set the tone. I focused on:

• clear messaging

• bold but spacious layout

• intuitive hierarchy

• strong calls-to-action that match how clients naturally enquire

The homepage became the anchor for the rest of the build.

Bringing the site to life

After finalising the homepage, I moved through each core page, weaving in:

• storytelling-led copy

• personalised imagery

• thoughtful animations and transitions

• curated white space for a calm, confident feel

Everything was shaped to feel welcoming and easy to navigate - true to the supportive, collaborative brand experience I offer.

Squarespace structure

The site is built entirely on Squarespace, using custom layouts, strategic section blocks, and a seamless mobile-first structure. Every page was designed with clarity, conversion, and ease of use in mind - both for visitors and for long-term management.

Key features included:

• tailored page layouts built to guide visitors through a natural narrative

• coding used to bring unique styles and features to the design

• integrated contact and enquiry flows

• SEO foundations applied across all pages

• refined settings, metadata, and accessibility improvements

• a streamlined navigation and footer that support the user journey

Ongoing growth & refinement

Just as I offer post-launch support , I treat my own site as a living project. The design evolves as my business grows, my services expand, and my brand continues to bloom.
